The making of Etta's kitchen

As part of the Empty Shops Project Etta saw the opportunity to do something she's been doing for years and decided to give her passion of feeding people to Granville Arcade now known as Brixton Village where she once worked many moons ago.

Etta's Caribbean background infuses the atmosphere and when you walk into Etta's Kitchen you get the feeling you're in for a surprise. Although there is a simple menu, Etta prides herself on being able to tailor the food to your preferred taste and is equally happy to cook you something extra special if you ask her nicely!

From Lobster's to Fish & Chips the food is simple but fresh and packs loads of flavour. With the whole of Brixton Market on the doorstep most foods are sourced locally and Billingsgate Fish Market is used to get the best pickings of the day.

Etta’s years of experience pleasing her friends and family have definitely been extended to all who visit Etta’s Kitchen!
